Is the 3g Iphone coming? 5 April 08

I was just reading This article about the iphone being sold out in New York and was hoping that there might be coming a 3g version of the iphone soon. The current EDGE on the iphone is good enough for checking your email but for web browsing with some decent speed you need 3G. Let’s hope for the best and I have a iphone for sale when the 3G version comes out :d.
